Christmas in July Drive Though Ice Cream Shoppe

The Stirling and District Lions Club had a wonderful day Celebrating Christmas in July on July 25th, 2020. We sold bowls of ice cream in a drive-through style while collecting food and monetary donations for the Stirling Community Cupboard. We were able to collect 5 boxes full of food in two and a half hours!

At the end of the event, Lions drove around the village, blaring Christmas music, and giving out the last of the ice cream to employees at local businesses, and people out in Stirling enjoying the sunshine. The look on the recipients’ faces made the day even better! Sorry to those we missed.

This event was very well participated in by The Club. Some members brought their decorations, some brought costumes and hats. One member event made everyone Christmas masks!  A member that is an artist created funny signs to decorate with.  Mrs. Claus even made Santa a special Mask for his beard. Members who are not able to work in the heat came and spent time in the shade supporting the event.
